Folks,
whooooha, a successive post....seems as if i finally made it through occupation-related hardships...
Not quite a 100%, but on a good way, or so it seems. Anyway, the forum crowd always nodded their head in approval, as you hopefully do as well...

Working my head in and to the bones
Folks,
half past nine and i´m still not seeing the end of the working day: am i doing something wrong?
Guess one could feel like that, but honestly: no guts, no glories. Permanent. And as long as you´re dressed in linen herringbone, it´s all right, i guess.
@Jakub Mankowski: really appreciating your time and your comment, Jakub. Thanx a lot!
@Scott: ahh Scott, you´re the most frequent commentator. Thanx again for always taking your time to leave your comments here!

Enough summer now?
Folks,
after a tremendous friday´s party night at the Comet and a saturday full of sun, good wine and great chatter with my love´s colleagues, i had to get up early this morning for yet another client meeting. Was pretty warm, so blues, whites and reds were justified.
The comments:
@Mike: yeah, i guess she was, kind of at least. Trou are made from italian linen (at least the lable reads like that)
@superpeanut: i´m glad you start to accept them as a part of our relationship :-)

From theory to practice
Folks,
While breaking the rules can be fun sometimes, there are however some laws describing how to dress appropriately that should be abided. One of the most renowned conaisseur of classic men's wardrobe, style expert Alan Flusser has written a book named "Dressing the man", in which he provides very insightful and interesting facts about fabrics, makers, production details and consequently, style rules. One of the chapters in his book is dealing with the question how to combine layers of different designs. It seems clear that a plain tie and plain shirt can never fail (apart from colour issues), but what about donning a striped shirt and a paisley tie, or even more daring, layers from four different stylistic backgrounds (stripes, herringbone, paisley, checks)? As i was reading this theoretical background and the underlying principles, i felt tempted to give it a practical try (hence today's title) today: an attempt in vain or a reasonable illustration of mixing abilities?

Bringing out the inner Italian
Folks,
i´m spending the next three days at my parent´s house, together will my love, enjoying the easter break. Getting back to regular scheduled programme on tuesday.
With temperatures climbing up the scale, it was time to rock the new unstructured cotton blazer i recently bought. Surgeon cuffs on it and a self-made laple flower...
@Sabir: thanx, it does mean a lot coming from you!

The return of the suburbian pics
Folks,
returned home only 20 minutes ago, after a long mind-bothering, unnerving day with a shitload of things to do, a million things to care about and look after, thousands of phone calls and mails and whatnot...i guess i only spent 15 min. in the sun today, which is definitely the opposite of "too much".
Hence, the pictures were taken on my way home and yes, i do hate the quality myself.

Luciano & Ralph or "The striped iGent"
Folks,
today´s look has been shaped by two factors: my new Luciano Barbera cashmere tie (a vintage one) and the fact that i dare think that this look could have been styled by Polo Ralph Lauren. Not necessarily qualitywise, but colourwise. The simple fact that i added a silver collar pin made it look special and dashing (at least in my eyes).
If you disagree, that´s fine: i´ll call it "The striped iGent" then :)

Award winner suit
Folks,
i normally don´t wear suits for performing my daily duties, but today i chose to dress up a bit more: it was justified by an important client meeting and attending an award show...i pretty much liked it, but will return to regular scheduled programming tomorrow :).
A special thanx goes out to Paolo of Suitorial for giving me the tie, i love it!!
The comments:
@superpeanut: i know you don´t love ´em...but that´s allright as long as you stay as cool/awesome/lovely/funny/enthusiastic/sporty/admirable/impressing/important as you are.

Rio with Jo, Düdo with Mike!
Folks,
yet another lovely sunny day in Düdo: spent my lunch time pacing the streets with Mike, fabulous author of Inner City Style. We strolled down to the river site, went across Carl´s Place and stopped to take pictures of me on one of the many bridges overstretching the rhine on Kö...the day ended in Rio, or better put, with Rio and Joe...went to see that new 3d movie named "Rio", the story being about a blue parrot...kiddy thing, but i´ve been invited, so that justifies going there, i guess....cheers, Jan and Werbe Weischer :)
Cords made my day, along with some new brown suede tassle loafers (the same last as the blue ones from this post) and the lovely tie i recently shopped at Scott Alexander´s great CKC shoppe.
As requested by my ever so lovely blog companion Elaine of Clothed much, here are some more pictures of the new bag...
@Scott: cheers, Scott! At least you got the bag here, the cap will follow :)
