A night out with the boys

Folks,

what a wonderful, inspiring and mind-relaxing evening i had: spent some plenty good time with my fellow fashionistas Mike, Jonas and Julian at the Styleclicker / Robert Mapplethorpe exhibition in DüDo. It´s great to chat to guys who share the same passion albeit varying social backgrounds, professions or stylistic approaches. Really glad to meet you guys!

Can you please give it up for the guys...look at their perfect looks! Great colour combinations, superbly fitted cloths, nice detailing....guys, you rocked that boat entirely....

Mike of Inner City Stlye took pictures far better than mine...please check out his blog to see what he has shot apart from us...

Random images

Folks,

spent a lovely weekend with my gf and two friends from her former hometown, L and C. Great to have spent some time with you guys, was real fun. Come see us again as soon as you can!

What did we do: watched a movie together friday night (while wearing jogging trousers: come on, nothing better than those pants for lying on the couch), had great dinner and dance saturday night (cooked by the best chief in the world, which is me, for obvious reasons: spinach risotto enflavored with fresh cotton chease and parmegiano reggiano alongside fresh codfish enrolled in Serrano bacon and rocket...yummie) and a walk in the park on sunday.

The world still turned round and Düdo seems to have been the host for fashionistas from all over the world. My fellow Blogman Mike from Inner City style shot some great pics, please check out his work.

A day on the Q

Folks,

FC BAYERN....oh my, what a game...thought we´ve lost it all to the Britains, and then...i never imagined to say something like that, but thank god for bringing the Dutch to life....Arjen Robben, hero of my football world.

As for the outfit: dressing possibilities are limited to a minimum at the moment, so forgive my unability in colour variations. Still, i am not looking that bad, do i? (Fishing for compliments again...screw me.)

Job? Still trying to find out where it´s heading to...will keep you guys posted...bam, here goes the picure work.
One last amendment: Düdo´s got style...plenty of it. Never seen some many guys sporting pocket squares in one place. Love it.

The weekend in DüDo

Folks,

my lovely gf and me spent the weekend in DüDo, starting on friday night, when we attended the finals of "Unser Star für Oslo", a talent show casting our representative for the Eurovision Song Contest. It was quite entertaining to see those girls dancing and to hear them singing, which they both did very good.
But the best thing came last: we even had the pleasure to be part of the aftershow-party. Naturally, that meant free food and drinks, and be sure, we did not hesitate to waste ourselves away on sushi, rolls, curry sausages, soup, chocolate-covered frozen fruits, and so on...fair enough, we splurged plenty of drinks (white wine, beer, Gin Tonic....).

Saturday started easy, sleeping until ten thirty and having breakfast in a café next to the Dome of Cologne. After that we commuted to DüDo, to go check out some rooms for me to live by the start of april (i am soon to start a new job). The first visit turned out to be rather useless: the room being shabby and the whole flat in a rather scruffy state...the second visit was kind of promising, though: the guys living in this flat seemed to be fairly nice and the whole place was tidy, well-furnitured and seemingly recently renewed...i am hoping to receive a call soon to be welcomed there.

I did check on my outfit quite some time...and here is the result: houndstooth brown and beige vintage jacket, blue checked shirt, burgundy red cardigan and a blue and red tartan bow tie. A beige coloured corduroy pant and brown shoes completed the thing...

By the way: welcome our new family member! Great to have you here, Harry Lime...hope you like the stuff, and please feel free to comment on whatever you like / dislike!

The day after yesterday

Dear followers,

please give a warm welcome to a new family member to join your elite circle: Julia from New York now completes the trendy ten :)

Guys, my side project "Find a new place in Düsseldorf as soon as possible" is not proceeding to my likes. Although having sent out about a dozen messages, i only got one answer in return (thx Mimi *g*). So, come on guys, just give me the chance, and drop me a line. I don´t bite, and i really could make up for a good roomy...you´ll see in time, if you only grant me the chance to (holy crap, that seems like begging now...which it is, kind of. Screw me...).

Back to what you come here for: another dapper outfit, or at least a combination of items seemingly working well together. I already announced that my lovely sister gave me a new tie as a birthday present, and i pulled it over today. Along with a white-blue striped shirt and a blue cardigan under my vintage tweed jacket, it just completed this "blue all over the place"-outfit. (Note to myself: spring´s not here yet, so don´t wear blue light cotton chinos until the beginning of april.)

Moving in and out

Gents and Ladies,

seasons are changing noticeably and so is my life: in four weeks time i will move to Düsseldorf and start working on a different job in a different agency. Needles to say, but i gotta live somewhere then...so, accomodation offers are welcome! If you have any suggestions, please drop me a line at reg.spoozy@gmail.com. To prevent the mailserver from breaking down, i am only searching for rooms which leases do not exceed more than 350 € (all cost covered), and are bigger than 10 square meters. If you got something at hand on these premises, i am delighted to hear from you guys.

As for my outfit: it had it´s first airing, that yellow-green tartan tie. Together with a dark blue jacket, pale-blue striped french cuffed shirt and a white pocket square, it made today´s outfit. Many thx go out to my lovely sister, who gave me a pair of lovely squared cufflinks and a tie, that is soon to be shown here. I can assure you, the tie has some weird, yet adorable pattern mixes on it...anyway, here are the pics:
