Rio with Jo, Düdo with Mike!

Folks,

yet another lovely sunny day in Düdo: spent my lunch time pacing the streets with Mike, fabulous author of Inner City Style. We strolled down to the river site, went across Carl´s Place and stopped to take pictures of me on one of the many bridges overstretching the rhine on Kö...the day ended in Rio, or better put, with Rio and Joe...went to see that new 3d movie named "Rio", the story being about a blue parrot...kiddy thing, but i´ve been invited, so that justifies going there, i guess....cheers, Jan and Werbe Weischer :)

Cords made my day, along with some new brown suede tassle loafers (the same last as the blue ones from this post) and the lovely tie i recently shopped at Scott Alexander´s great CKC shoppe.
As requested by my ever so lovely blog companion Elaine of Clothed much, here are some more pictures of the new bag...

@Elaine: hope you´ll get what you asked for here?
@Scott: cheers, Scott! At least you got the bag here, the cap will follow :)

Purple pattern play

Folks,

after yesterday´s colourful get up with burgundy red, yellow, blue, white and tan, i decided to take one step back on the crazyness scale and went with grey all over the place. As you can tell by the pics following, the mess was caused by varying textures, this time: we´ve got stripes, dots, herringbones, checks and solids on display...From a colour perspective, it was blue, white, grey, black and purple. If i had to extinct all colours but one, my choice for "last shade standing" would be....na......purple :)

Additionally, i went to CFC today, accompanied by Mike of Inner City Style. Great folks there and plenty of cool stuff, reduced by 50%. Sale, baby! Still, i only bought two things: a knitted laple flower and a metal button.

A ride to Neuss...

Folks,

fled the office at six, only to drive to bargain hunter´s  paradise tkmaxx to shop a bit with Mike of Inner City Style. Browsed through the racks and might have been able to score: came across two Corneliani Jackets, uncanvassed and pretty sweet, but too short. Some sweet quilted outer jackets made by Feraud, only size to big. A nice three button tweed cotton in rust/orange, but not in my size...when i was down in tears, Bäumleand the likes were able to turn that evening back to where it belongs: the top.

From left to right: off-white and brown cashmere knit tie by Bäumler, burgundy-brown suede with inner fur lining and an orange-white-blue-red-brown wool scarf.

So, what i was sporting today...the charcoal and yellow works pretty nice together, no?

The comments / answers:

@Mike: guilty as charged, i guess...but i´m working on getting rid of some stuff :)...the db is likely becoming my favourite item :)
@Kansuke: cheers, buddy! Wouldn´t have been able to make it without your great help!

A night out with the boys

Folks,

what a wonderful, inspiring and mind-relaxing evening i had: spent some plenty good time with my fellow fashionistas Mike, Jonas and Julian at the Styleclicker / Robert Mapplethorpe exhibition in DüDo. It´s great to chat to guys who share the same passion albeit varying social backgrounds, professions or stylistic approaches. Really glad to meet you guys!

Can you please give it up for the guys...look at their perfect looks! Great colour combinations, superbly fitted cloths, nice detailing....guys, you rocked that boat entirely....

Mike of Inner City Stlye took pictures far better than mine...please check out his blog to see what he has shot apart from us...

Red tie and a pin

Folks,

it was pretty cool to leave the office quite early, which was 6:30 in my case...spent some time phoning family members, wasted some time on ebay, thought about what to buy next but then reminded myself to save some money, reading mags and books, legally downloaded new tunes...

Tomorrow i´ll attend an exhibition, hosted in the NRW-Forum in DüDo. Styleclicker Gustav Hämmerlen will show some (nearly 1.000) of his streetstyle pics and i am quite looking forward to it. Part of that will be my company: Mike of InnerCityStyle, Julian, a bespoke artist and a female friend of the latter will form the pack.

Oh, i fetched up my MTM shirt from Kuhn (the pink one with white bd collar and french cuffs). Seems as if the guys know their game: the stitching around the buttons is very accurate, seams have been sewed together neatly and the fabric will come out quite soft after the first laundry. Measures are appropriate (if only it might be a bit to long, but no worries since i´ll tuck it in my trousers anyway), shoulders are just fine, sleeve lengths is pretty perfect. To sum it up: would buy again!

Random images

Folks,

spent a lovely weekend with my gf and two friends from her former hometown, L and C. Great to have spent some time with you guys, was real fun. Come see us again as soon as you can!

What did we do: watched a movie together friday night (while wearing jogging trousers: come on, nothing better than those pants for lying on the couch), had great dinner and dance saturday night (cooked by the best chief in the world, which is me, for obvious reasons: spinach risotto enflavored with fresh cotton chease and parmegiano reggiano alongside fresh codfish enrolled in Serrano bacon and rocket...yummie) and a walk in the park on sunday.

The world still turned round and Düdo seems to have been the host for fashionistas from all over the world. My fellow Blogman Mike from Inner City style shot some great pics, please check out his work.
