Spring is in town
Folks,
yet another sunny day in DüDo. Spent some time outdoors, went to Oxfam to donate a suit and a jacket and afterwards had a quick step into P&C. Guess what, another tie blow out :)...seized the opportunity and bought two ties for 10€ (yeah!) and linen pocket square. Pretty cool design, nay?
Went with a blue cord suit today, a woolen knit tie and a double-breasted vest. No, not Julian´s, this one´s going to be seen in here next week :)

Oh no, not again...oh yes!
Folks,
went to P&C during my lunchbreak, accompanied by my fellow co-worker I. She had to get her boo a new hoody, which i fully supported by strolling around through the subterrainian basement myself...but i didn´t buy anything (although i could have, clearly). Many great things on sale...now you ask why? Well, i made up my mind on how to spend the many grands i will own in the upcoming future, and i drew the conclusion to go for some things more individual, which means bespoke clothing. Yet, it takes time (and putting money apart) to fulfill this goal. So i try to reduce my OTR shopping to a minimum to get closer to that...but, for now, i stopped over at Roland Schuhe just across the street. Now, you know me, i would probably not be buying shoes there. But i fetched up some great inner soles for my rather cold and big shoes. Now they are perfectly fitting and my feet are warm: what else could you ask for? ;)
Anyways, enough with the talking, let´s get down to regular scheduled programming. This is what i wore today (lumberjackin´ around the world, as Mike of Inner City Stlye has called it):
A special thanks goes out to my fellow blog comrade Mr. Midwester, who has been kindly giving me that ridicously great Polo Chaps tie for free. Aaron, let me thank you once again and take my apologies for not stating it beforehand !!

The comments:
@Mike: sure you´re right, but you know me...that fooling around with colours is my game.Joint Lunchtime operation? Always...
@Republic: thanx a lot, exactly the same for you. With readers like you, i´ll be lucky as ever :)

Life is grey enough...
Folks,
back to regular scheduled program...working that is, and getting dressed up for that purpose. The day has been rather damp and i didn´t see a single ray of light sticking through all the haze...so i decided to add colour by throwing together various pieces of my wardrobe. Additionally, you might have already noted my admiration for the "onion principle": layering means being able to wear several pieces at a time, purposefully in accordance to the surrounding temperatures. And to top everything of, i am wearing one of my selfmade bow ties, handcrafted by me and my mum. If you feel like you got to have your own, just drop me an email using reg.spoozy@googlemail.com
Additionally, i finally got hold on my new socks from turkish manufacturer Kemal Onyurt of Viccel Socks. I came across his business when surfing on different forums and have been ordering new socks ever since. Colours are just outbursting, and the quality of his garments is beyond doubt. If you´re in search for some new socks, i´ll guess you should have a try. Attentive as you are, you might have noticed the Viccel Banner being hosted under my blog header. If you feel like shopping, you can get a 20% discount by clicking it. Sure, i´m making money if you do, but it´s really up to you. If you don´t like it, just don´t click it...i´ll always stick to what this blog is about: things i like and which i can recommend by personal experience.
To even top that of, i´ve been checking H&M during my lunch break and guess who i met: Mike of Inner city style. Initially, i didn´t plan to buy anything, but i couldn´t let go of these two great things: a red and black puffy vest and a double breasted cardigan made from heavy wool. Both were a great catch, taking into regard their sale price (15 € each). Jackpott, baby!
The following pictures have been taken by Bini on the subway of New York. As you can tell by the pics, she has a good eye for details and a great sense of style when she sees it. If you are a fashion photographer as well and want to submit pictures, just drop me a line using reg.spoozy@googlemail.com

Back to modesty...and no skullz, but a bow tie
Folks,
received a lot of praise round the web for bringing out those skullz on friday...as this one was making quite a bold statement, i felt like gently tuning it down today...well, surely not attributable to the overcoat. But i finally got to wear the second one of my handmade (that is, by me and my lovely mum) bow ties...pretty cool, hein?

Your comments have been appreciated...here go the answers:
@Scott: probably one of my fav´s, too...felt great to rock the streets like that :)
@Anon: scored it on ebay.co.uk, easily the best shopping place in the world (if you´ve got the time and you can let go off things if they´re not perfect)
@Rachel: thank you for your kind words, my italian beauty :). Yes, this place was indeed awesome...such a great atmosphere, great food and the one i love surrounding me (i am the lucky guy for sure). Couldn´t get any better! Skulls have been around ever since, but i guess they´re not very formal / often seen in men´s wear...makes it way more interesting to bring them out.
@Schlabberbacke: just tryin to please you sartorially...lookin´ forward to thursday. Will you bring R, too ? ;)

From D to R/S/C with L
Bonjour Mesdames et Messieurs,
what a lovely friday for me: i´m having a day off and seized the opportunity to stay up long yesterday night, slept long and personally receiving today´s mail...and i´ll tell you, i was totally freaking out when i opened the package. Thx to C, who sent the lovely stuff i´m wearing today...preppare for full Preppyness!!

Oh, the overcoat is a vintage Aquascutum Trench coat made in the late 1960´s...it is in pristine condition, no signs of wear whatsovever...it fits perfectly and hell yeah, this is a statement. It tells the world i got style...or at least the guts to sport that thing in the real world :)
The picture on the right side was taken when i went back to DüDü´s central station...for all german readers: if you find the mistake, i´ll adward you a "Sophisticated reader" award :)
Now i am preparing to leave the house in order to see the most lovely one on the planet: getting home for my love! Awesome....
The comments:
@Anon: i´ll have some pics ready when i start sewing, i´ll promise. I´m likely to host pictures of how to make yourself a tie and bow tie just as well :)
@Julian: sweet man, thx for the praise. They´re made by Viccel, a turkish company. Really great stuff at very reasonable prizes.
@Marco: and i can´t wait to get the project started :)

There goes another one...
Fellaz,
nothing much to talk about, so just check out today´s outfit pics: in contrast to last time, i wore the herringbone jacket over the sport coat...keept me pretty warm likewise.

As always, no comment shall go unnoticed in here.
@Marco: i´ll keep you updated...i checked out the boots you mentioned...pretty expensive, aren´t they, if you take into consideration they´re not even good-year welted? ;)
