the best gf in the world, who is obviously mine complained about me not dressing summery enough. What a challenge, i´d say...time to bring out some orange, whites and sand coloured pants out. And....yes, the spectacular spectator tassle loafers she detests :)

No more tweed for 6 months!

Folks,

yet another fine day on the shores of the Rhein: remarkably warm (about 11 degrees), a freshly blowing spring wind and loads of sunshine. To even top that off, i could leave the office quite early today and went sale shopping to Neuss, another raid to Tkmaxx then. What first seemed to be a complete waiste of time finally turned into a pleasing journey: i could score a cashmere / silk tie, a fully uncanvassed dark blue cotton blazer with working cuffs and a nice floral/paisley scarf...summer, get yourself through the door, i am ready!

 

As mentioned in the title: last time for tweed today. This kind of fabric will not reappear any sooner than october.
Sorry for the blurry pic, seems as if my camera even can´t stand tweed anymore...off ye go!

Before i start to answer your comments: i seized my early work´s leave to reorganize my tie collection, separating them into two batches: the silk ones and the woolen ones (or mixed fibers)...in my eyes i have now layed a solid base, but there is a lot of room for improvement :)

had yet another splendid weekend with my love, some nice food and chilling out on our couch...nothing too fancy, really.

When i thought about what to wear on this monday, i decided to go for some POW check and that lovely vintage orange woolen tie from Scotland. I´m pretty sure the upper half has been worn and shown here before, but what the heck, it still makes up a decent dress (and with the grey pants, it´s something new). Ah, and before you start complaining: the sc is tight in the waist, but not as much as it looks in the shots :)

@Scott: thanx a lot Scott. Honestly, i´ve been thinking to swap the shirt for something more neutral, but all i could have come up with would have been white...a blue just didn´t seem right. And for the tie: well, this one certainly is bold, but blended in nicely with the vest :)

Orange and tweed

Dear Fellow Followers,

been working rather long and only returned 20 minutes ago...pretty fuc*** up right now. So, no much babbling, just pics. Wore the recently aquired vintage tweed tie...and broke the rather subtle sport coat with some orange...

Ahhh....you´ve lately been showing a lot of interest, telling by the number of comments. As long as i don´t reach a hundred a day, i´ll surely answer them all:

@David: sure thing, skullz are not very geniune these days. Still they spice up any men´s weardrobe...if fitting the rest of the character and person. Drop me a line when yours has arrived, would love to see you rock it....and velvet slippers...need to have those as well!!

Business attire - Höllenkerle - Quotation

just returning from a splendid night out - the DMAX Höllenkerle night took place in DüDo, and yes, it was quite fun to attend it. And guess what, i even took some pictures there...but see those below.

Business attire was the orange sweater again, parted with the recently-aquired ben sherman tie...i pretty much liked the colour combo on that. What do you think?
