La Crie de la soie

Folks,

the style-savy amongst you know what the title refers to, but for all the peeps who are not familiar with this expression, i´ll explain it: this term refers to the "scream" a silk knit tie lets out when you squeeze it tightly...that sound is a sign of good quality, so if you ever see someone squeezing silk knit ties in your preferred local men´s wear shop, you know what the guys´s doing there :)

Best part of it: i only paid 10 bucks for this lovely burgundy knit one...awesome!

Some more foolery with accessoires today...a golden collar pin (watch out, Marco!), a golden tie clip with a rider on it and a flowery pocket square.
Spring justifies it all, i guess...

The comments:
@Mike: 90 bucks, roughly...i´ll call it a Schnäppchen, nevertheless :)

By the way: a new addition to the shop has been made...a linen jacket by H&M, size 36/46...check it out!

Nommnommnomm...

Folks,

yet another weekend has passed too soon and it´s monday, once again. Had sushi on sunday and found out that shin bones and wooden bed frames are not the best combination in the world.

Anyway, wanted to bring out the new silk tie and this was it:

Oh no, not again...oh yes!

Folks,

went to P&C during my lunchbreak, accompanied by my fellow co-worker I. She had to get her boo a new hoody, which i fully supported by strolling around through the subterrainian basement myself...but i didn´t buy anything (although i could have, clearly). Many great things on sale...now you ask why? Well, i made up my mind on how to spend the many grands i will own in the upcoming future, and i drew the conclusion to go for some things more individual, which means bespoke clothing. Yet, it takes time (and putting money apart) to fulfill this goal. So i try to reduce my OTR shopping to a minimum to get closer to that...but, for now, i stopped over at Roland Schuhe just across the street. Now, you know me, i would probably not be buying shoes there. But i fetched up some great inner soles for my rather cold and big shoes. Now they are perfectly fitting and my feet are warm: what else could you ask for? ;)

Anyways, enough with the talking, let´s get down to regular scheduled programming. This is what i wore today (lumberjackin´ around the world, as Mike of Inner City Stlye has called it):

A special thanks goes out to my fellow blog comrade Mr. Midwester, who has been kindly giving me that ridicously great Polo Chaps tie for free. Aaron, let me thank you once again and take my apologies for not stating it beforehand !!

The comments:
@Mike: sure you´re right, but you know me...that fooling around with colours is my game.Joint Lunchtime operation? Always...
@Republic: thanx a lot, exactly the same for you. With readers like you, i´ll be lucky as ever :)

A special one for....Schlabberbacke aka J

Folks,

what a wonderful weekend i had...spent friday night dinning at a remarkable restaurant named "Heilig Geist" (Holy Gost), situated in a building which was once a medieval hospital...a very special place, with soft music, lots of people and great, super-tasty food...

Saturday was pretty easy, i bought my love her christmas present , met  J and R at our regular coffee-bar and ended with watching "The Blind Side" with oscar-winning Sandra Bullock. Nice one, by the way, if you feel like believing in the right things and acting accordingly always pays out...one for the heart, i´d say.
Well, nothing noteworthy on sunday...except the fact that i only got three days left on work: i´ll start my time off on thursday...whooooaa, looking forward to that ;)

So, what you all come here for...this time, it´s about skullz ;). J aka Schlabberbacke, this one´s especially for you, hope you like it!

I believe to have answered every open comment in the previous post...so boys and girs, gimme some more :)

The pink bd french cuff shirt and sandy linen

Folks,

autumn may come...be ready to have that kind of stuff at hand when temperatures drop down...

But before that happens, there should be enough time to wear linen fabrics. Yeah, the pink bd french cuff shirt worked pretty well with the rest of that combo in my eyes.
What do you guys think? Is this me "trying too hard", or is it just love for the details?

Whatever, it felt right.

Feeling grey

Folks,
