Pinstripe and overcheck

that´s my latest aquisition...a vintage double-breasted, grey pinstripe jacket for a mere 35€.
I am quite looking forward to receiving it...

Lately, i feel attracted to the idea of mixing a warm west with a tweed jacket...what do you think about this one? Might come out great with something brown over it...like the coat from yesterday, maybe...

First and foremost, the most incredibly good looking double-breasted vintage suit i have ever seen:



Too bad it is too big for me, a 40 inch size...even my tailor at Karbigac would not be able to alter this at reasonable prices (assuming he might charge me more than 200€).

Yet another duffle coat...isn´t that one lovely:

The screening

Folks,

spent the afternoon attending the IP screening in Düdo. For anyone who is not firm in media agency business: the IP is the corporation that sells advertising space on the big german TV stations RTL, Vox, Super RTL and N-tv. Twice a year they are presenting their market position (boring as hell) and what they plan to broadcast over the next 6 months (fun part). The crowd lurking around is mostly consisting of tv advertising enterprises´ representatives, their media agencies and some creative folk. Most of them are wearing classic black and white combos, so i quite stood out from the crowed in blue / red / white. Won´t host pictures though, camera had no battery left...

Anyway, i made some purchases on ebay lastly, among them two nice ties and a pair of black suede shoes by french company Bexley. I´ll host pictures as soon as i get my hands on them.




By the way, i finalized works on the blue corduroy jacket: i attached ellbow patches and added new dark blue leather buttons. Pics? Soon to be here...thx Mum :)

i can´t take pictures at the moment...good thing for you, this way you don´t have to stand colour explosions, ill-fitting shoes or other crimes i normally host of myself up here...

Red tie and a pin

it was pretty cool to leave the office quite early, which was 6:30 in my case...spent some time phoning family members, wasted some time on ebay, thought about what to buy next but then reminded myself to save some money, reading mags and books, legally downloaded new tunes...

Tomorrow i´ll attend an exhibition, hosted in the NRW-Forum in DüDo. Styleclicker Gustav Hämmerlen will show some (nearly 1.000) of his streetstyle pics and i am quite looking forward to it. Part of that will be my company: Mike of InnerCityStyle, Julian, a bespoke artist and a female friend of the latter will form the pack.

Oh, i fetched up my MTM shirt from Kuhn (the pink one with white bd collar and french cuffs). Seems as if the guys know their game: the stitching around the buttons is very accurate, seams have been sewed together neatly and the fabric will come out quite soft after the first laundry. Measures are appropriate (if only it might be a bit to long, but no worries since i´ll tuck it in my trousers anyway), shoulders are just fine, sleeve lengths is pretty perfect. To sum it up: would buy again!

Feeling grey

finally feeling at home, both physically /mentally. Received the two tie bars bought on ebay yesterday and put one of them on instantly...pretty cool, eh?

as mentioned in yesterday´s post, i am trying out some commercialisation on this blog. So far i have completed setting up my profile at trigami and am now waiting for some response...we´ll see where that leads to.

Additionally, we´ve been completing our pitch presentation...came out quite impressive at the end. Now shall the one in charge decide...

I am still waiting for one more package to arrive: i´ve been buying some tie bars over at ebay. Here are the pics...
