The screening

Folks,

spent the afternoon attending the IP screening in Düdo. For anyone who is not firm in media agency business: the IP is the corporation that sells advertising space on the big german TV stations RTL, Vox, Super RTL and N-tv. Twice a year they are presenting their market position (boring as hell) and what they plan to broadcast over the next 6 months (fun part). The crowd lurking around is mostly consisting of tv advertising enterprises´ representatives, their media agencies and some creative folk. Most of them are wearing classic black and white combos, so i quite stood out from the crowed in blue / red / white. Won´t host pictures though, camera had no battery left...

Anyway, i made some purchases on ebay lastly, among them two nice ties and a pair of black suede shoes by french company Bexley. I´ll host pictures as soon as i get my hands on them.

By the way, i finalized works on the blue corduroy jacket: i attached ellbow patches and added new dark blue leather buttons. Pics? Soon to be here...thx Mum :)

Black friday and the relief of love

Folks,

last friday was the worst day i ever had, telling from a working perspective. Everything i did shattered to pieces, added up to mess or totally turned its back on me. I am rather optimistic on the whole, but this day really brought me to thinking about my profession and if my job is the right one for me...

It even continued when i tried to get back at home: the first train was delayed by 25 minutes, i missed my connection and had to wait 50 min for the next and last train running for Frankfurt. Finally i made it to Mainz, only to see that the next metro to Wiesbaden would run at 4 a.m., which would have meant waiting for two more hours...

And then came relief: laying next to my love, it felt like all evil would come to a rest. Like a real shelter from harm, like someone healing you...can´t really describe that...so great.

Did some window-shopping...

...and went to a Lego store. The interior design is really great, it does not feel embarassing at all to spend some time there. The store is made up like a museum, the games on display are resting in back-lit cubes and they have an augmented-reality app installed...really great stuff.

Anyway, hope you had a great weekend too...

The hunt is on, baby!

Folks,

first of all, let me state that i do take pride in welcoming another regular follower to the blog: give a hearty welcome to A.R....A.R., please feel free to participate in every way you want to!

For the rest of you guys: i had an easy start into the new week. Tings were pretty easy to handle today, the client was not demanding anything special and i could get out of the office at about six o´clock. And, oh boy, i wish i would have stayed...as ever, i used my free time to "just have a quick look at the local shops", with nothing particular in mind to buy. And there you go...holy crap, i went to TKmaxx and bought 5 ties and a linen jacket...

Best thing about the catches: the prize!! Originally, it would have exceeded 450 Bucks, and guess what i had to pay...only the tinies fraction ever...not even 100 euros...i am the best Sale-Hunter ever to wander on this planet, truly.

But see for yourself, and check out the outfit pics of today...

What to do on a saturday...

Holla out there,

damn, i am very grateful at the moment: more and more people seem to come here, enjoy what i am posting and even take their time to leave comments. I really appreciate all of your input, and i really like the inspiration i get from your blogs. What could i ask more for?

Yesterday´s outfit saw my newly bought tie, a brown herringbone weave type of. Along with a blue cord jacket, blue checked shirt with french cuffs and blue jeans, it just made my day. As you might have noticed, i am very much into all shades and kinds of blue.

Today my gf and me went to the city to have our empty gas bottle (the one for making sprinkled water) replaced by a new one. Unfortunately, the shop had been closed, so we didn´t get a new one. Instead we went to Anson´s, a popular men´s fashion outfitter, that has massive sales right now...and hell yeah, you guys know me. I´m a real bargain hunter, and the hunt was successfull:

one french-cuffed shirt, two ties and a pocketsquare for 40 Bucks...can you ask for more? I don´t think so...

Additionally, we stopped for the obligatory coffee break, and were sitting in a historical coffee shop, one that was founded over 150 years ago...the interior was all like you expect it to be: dark brown furniture, waitresses dressed in black and white, a huge amount of cakes, chocolates and tartlets and very old-fashioned people (in terms of style, not attitude)...although the photo isn´t very good, this lady really made my day...if you like to check it out, here we go.

The Hunt

Werte Leserschaft,

Damit jedoch die Fahrt nicht ganz umsonst war, noch nen Hilfiger-Schleif abgegriffen...not what i intended to come for, but better than leaving with nothing....and that is the link to what comes next: thanx to F, who advised to use Google Analytics and to find out, where my readers probably come from...and here we go: from all over the world, not just Germany.

That has prompted me to continue writing in english, which might be a bad idea, when it comes down to language skills, but a good one to get this blog the most read in the universe...or at least try to. The thing is: all of my german readers are surely capable of speaking english, so they´ll be able to read it without problems.

I won´t be translating all the stuff i wrote before ´cause i´m too lazy to perform this tiring act....so just have a look at the pics.

This night´s ride to Darmstadt has brought up a Tommy Hilfiger tie in red with blue suns on it, reminding me of some naval signs...and today´s outfit, a display of various coloured bars.
