Style share, part three

Folks,

after attending Element of Crime´s concert yesterday, i didn´t manage to bring myself to bed in time, so i was pretty tired during the whole day. Sun cheered my up a bit but i still felt quite exhausted...anyway, what i was going to say is that the tie i´m sporting today is yet another great gift of my fellow blogman Aaron of Mistermidwester. His project Style Share has consistently stuffing me out with sweet ties and the least thing i could do is name him a great guy and share some pics :)

Answering your inquiries:
@Mike: not for the faint of heart, but hey, that´s me.

It's started off as one of those days...

...where you don't wanna wake up, everything is fuck, everybody sucks...

But then: you notice that not all seems to be rotten. Despite the unpleasant fact that your best friend tells you he's not joining you on Friday night´s party, he still justifies his role by forwarding you some interesting blog stuff. F, prepare for some wild stuff on Saturday. Rock n' roll, baby!

Been window shopping during my lunch break...Hilfiger knows how to kill it.

Today's outfit:

The commments:
@Paisley curtain: just didn´t feel like writing anything...
@Justin: thx, bro!
@Scott: good on ya, mate! PRL is always a good  catch  :)
@David: very italian, isn´t it?! :)

Sunny side up

Folks,

received an email from Mr.Midwester today, who happily stated he received my package: in order to return his graciousness, i sent over some ties and pocket squares for him to use. Maybe he´ll show us how he wears them in the near future...apart from that, i went to H&M today to stroll through the racks (resulting in buying a red cardigan) and i went to try out a new made-to-measure shirt maker. Bought a light blue checked shirt, 2button wide spread collar and french cuffs (what else?).

Today´s get-up consisted of greens, reds, browns and tans...

Comments:
@Marco: was a gift from another fellow blogger and is a great piece of accessoire!

Style share, part 2

Folks,

yet again another beautiful sunny day in Düdo, one to spent time on the streets...and to break out colours! Excuse the shitty tie knot, didn´t manage to dimple it today.

This is the second post on my fellow blogman Mr.Midwester´s Style Share, a great project that focusses on spreading good textile taste all over the world. I have been part of that process (to my utmost pleasure) and am happy to be granted such a beautiful, vintage woolen orange tie! Thanx a lot, Aaron!

By the way: lately i haven´t been tagging my entries that much. In order to improve on my search engine results, i shall lable my posts better in the future :)

The comments:

@Yankee-Whiskey-Papa: yes, it is absolutely fantastic. Still one tie to go...
@Mistermidwester: sure thing, the ties are absolutely fabulous! Couldn´t wait to bring them out!
@Scott: cheers, Scott. I like its brightness a lot :)

Rework on a vintage tie...colourplay included

Folks,

as indicated in one of my posts before, i now host a banner of my turkish friend Kemal´s company Viccel. If you feel like trying out his socks (i am owning 16 pairs myself), you can click on that banner, thus being entitled a 20% discount of your total cart. If you don´t, no worries, you´ll just miss some great socks.

Anyway, this is not what you came here for. My totally insane lust for colours has brought a new creation to life: i turned a vintage Rooser tie from a previous post into a bow tie. Alongside with my self-made lapel flowers, it came off pretty dandy. Hope you don´t mind me fooling around like that. Well, and if you do: i don´t care, that´s just me :)

Time to answer your sweet words:
@Rachel: you´re way too sweet, Rachel! Tell me, how far´s your boy gotten in learning his skills? Already working on some pieces? totally consent on everything you´re saying, in my opinion going for bespoke means building a lifetime piece of textile that resembles your character and who you really are (quite pathetic to put it this way, but that´s just what i feel like).
@Justin: i envy your skills, man...your post about those balmoral boots nearly killed me. I´ll host some of the pics soon, if i may!
@Mistermidwester: let me thank you once again, Aaron!! And hey, i´m totally fine with you not liking a thing, i really appreciate your thoughts on what i do.
@Bigio: cheers man, had a sneak preview on your blog...awesome stuff!

Oh no, not again...oh yes!

Folks,

went to P&C during my lunchbreak, accompanied by my fellow co-worker I. She had to get her boo a new hoody, which i fully supported by strolling around through the subterrainian basement myself...but i didn´t buy anything (although i could have, clearly). Many great things on sale...now you ask why? Well, i made up my mind on how to spend the many grands i will own in the upcoming future, and i drew the conclusion to go for some things more individual, which means bespoke clothing. Yet, it takes time (and putting money apart) to fulfill this goal. So i try to reduce my OTR shopping to a minimum to get closer to that...but, for now, i stopped over at Roland Schuhe just across the street. Now, you know me, i would probably not be buying shoes there. But i fetched up some great inner soles for my rather cold and big shoes. Now they are perfectly fitting and my feet are warm: what else could you ask for? ;)

Anyways, enough with the talking, let´s get down to regular scheduled programming. This is what i wore today (lumberjackin´ around the world, as Mike of Inner City Stlye has called it):

A special thanks goes out to my fellow blog comrade Mr. Midwester, who has been kindly giving me that ridicously great Polo Chaps tie for free. Aaron, let me thank you once again and take my apologies for not stating it beforehand !!

The comments:
@Mike: sure you´re right, but you know me...that fooling around with colours is my game.Joint Lunchtime operation? Always...
@Republic: thanx a lot, exactly the same for you. With readers like you, i´ll be lucky as ever :)
